Captain Gary and crew provided a lifetime of memories for me and our group of 12. Spectacular day cruising around. Saw eagles, bears, salmon, whales, otters and seals. Oh my! Highly recommend.

Thank you so much for an amazing time yesterday Gary. Your tour of the Ocean to see the Whales and other sea wildlife along with the bears was fantastic. You were some accommodating and looked after everybody’s wishes.The size of your boat was also great as it was just the right size (not too small and not too big to be overcrowded. As you know we gad booked the land tour with you for after lunch. Once we had eaten in the Smokey restaurant we were going to cancel and head back to the Ship as we felt our day was complete. We are so so pleased we didn’t. Our day just got better and better with Ryan. His personality and knowledge was brilliant and we had such a great time with him seeing the Fortress of the Bear, Raptor centre for Birds and Totem Heritage Centre. Great to meet you all for an experience my wife and I will never forget. Thank you again.

Belated post but I had such a wonderful time going out on the boat with Caitlyn and Gary. 10/10 would do it again! Amazing wildlife, knowledgeable, kind staff and fun for all! I definitely would recommend this company to anyone in Sitka! Mahalo for the great time you guys 🤙

Had an amazing time on tour today! Gary and Caitlyn were very knowledgeable. We saw so much wildlife it was crazy. Would definitely recommend this tour for anyone in the area!

I cannot recommend Captain Gary’s Sitka Adventures enough. While on his vessel today, we saw bears, eagles, whales breaching, sea otters, sea lions. The entire experience was amazing from beginning to end. But perhaps the best part was the time spent with Captain Gary and Caitlyn. They are both so knowledgeable about the area and the wildlife. If you are planning an Alaskan cruise that stops in Sitka, book this excursion immediately! It was EPIC!

Don’t go anywhere else!!!! Local people who love what they do. The boat was comfortable, very welcoming and knowledgeable. We saw salmon, bears, otters, sea lions, and whales- all around us! HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!!!!

Captain Gary and deck hand Caitlyn are so much fun to spend time with. There knowledge and love for Sitka and the wildlife makes the time spent with them both fun and a great learning opportunity. If you are stopping in Sitka do not miss this tour.

This was such an amazing experience! The best part about booking with Captain Gary is that he’s from Sitka and isn’t part of some big company. You can genuinely tell that he loves what he does and takes pride in sharing his hometown with people.

He knows Sitka inside and out and gave us so many great recommendations for places to eat, explore, and experience the area that I don’t think you could get from a larger tour company. His deckhand, Caitlyn, was also incredibly knowledgeable about Sitka’s plants and animals and added so much to the experience. Captain Gary went above and beyond to make sure we had a great time and really made the experience feel personal.

If you’re visiting Sitka, I highly recommend booking with Captain Gary. You won’t regret it!

After taking this tour i now understand why they have five stars. We saw a lot of cool things on This tour it definitely gave the alaska experience. Caitlyn and Gary were So knowledgeable and helpful definitely recommend.

Gary and Caitlyn were fantastic. We saw many whales, Stellar sea lions and sea otters. The boat was comfortable and they were welcoming with snacks and waters. Both were very informative. At the end, Caitlyn air dropped fabulous photos of the whale tails to us.

We had the best time today with Captain Gary and Caitlyn. The ride was smooth, perfect weather and we saw so much wildlife. A bear, salmon, eagles, seals, otters and so many whales! They provided great information about Sitka, the wildlife, boating and snacks too. The boat was comfortable, easy to go outside for pictures or stay in with plenty of windows. We would absolutely come back and do this excursion again! Thank you for a special way to celebrate our anniversary!

Captain Gary was so friendly and knowledgeable! He used his CB to ensure he knew where the otters and whales were and we also saw a momma bear and her cub, eagles and they shared pictures with everyone on the tour! If I ever get to Sitka again I will surely be going on another tour!

Captain Gary was amazing. He’s very passionate about what he does and had lots of fun facts and personal stories while he took us to see many whales, otters, bald eagles and seal lions, chances to see bears too! Katlyn took beautiful pictures that she shared with everyone on the boat. Would definitely recommend to anyone who wants to explore the waters and marine wildlife of sitka

Best trip ever!!! I had a great time with Gary and his crew a few months ago and got to take visiting family and friends out this August! Gary’s boat is clean safe and most importantly fun! He’s personable, knowledgeable, and always has something exciting and interesting to tell you about the beautiful sea life and surrounding islands! We are so thankful for the great trip we had and the whales, otters, and sea lions we saw!
