Gary Sitka adventures was the most thrilling excursion in Alaska! This was the best excursion I have ever been on. From the moment I called Gary to book until I got off his boat was a fascinating learning and wildlife adventure. Gary made us feel so comfortable and welcome and we laughed the whole time. Captain Gary and Caitlin were excellent- knowledgeable, professional, hospitable, and friendly. Capt Gary knew exactly where to go to see the whales, otters, seals, sea lions, etc. We even contributed to scientific research that identifies and tracks whales. Caitlin shared her wonderful photos with passengers at the end via Airdrop. It was so fun to hear their stories and knowledge of the animals and the area. The tour boat,“Morning Glory,”was comfortable and smooth with indoor/outdoor viewing options, a heater indoors, snacks/drinks, and a small bathroom. Can’t say enough great things about Captain Gary’s Sitka Adventures- Thank you for the fantastic experience!

Ugh, too many whales But seriously, put this tour at the top of your list in Sitka. Captain Gary and Caitlin were excellent- knowledgeable, professional, hospitable, and friendly. Great adventure and experience!! We had an amazing time today!!! Saw so many whales it was mind blowing! His boat is extremely comfortable and smooth. His assistant today was Caitlin and she was knowledgeable And a pleasure to listen to and communicate with. Communication with Gary was great and consistent.  I would book with him again in a heartbeat!!!

				What an incredible experience! This was one of the highlights of our Alaska trip. Captain Gary was fantastic: friendly, knowledgeable, and worked hard to make sure everyone had an amazing day.



We saw an unbelievable amount of wildlife, including a pod of orcas, got amazingly close to humpback whales for incredible photos, spotted sea otters,, and saw so much more during the boat tour. The land portion was  also enjoyable, with a visit to a bear recovery center where we got to see bears up close, followed with some nice short hikes.



The entire day was well organized, and every guide we met was welcoming, friendly, and hospitable. If you’re considering this tour, don’t hesitate, it was an unforgettable experience and worth every penny!

What an incredible experience! This was one of the highlights of our Alaska trip. Captain Gary was fantastic: friendly, knowledgeable, and worked hard to make sure everyone had an amazing day.



We saw an unbelievable amount of wildlife, including a pod of orcas, got amazingly close to humpback whales for incredible photos, spotted sea otters,, and saw so much more during the boat tour. The land portion was  also enjoyable, with a visit to a bear recovery center where we got to see bears up close, followed with some nice short hikes.



The entire day was well organized, and every guide we met was welcoming, friendly, and hospitable. If you’re considering this tour, don’t hesitate, it was an unforgettable experience and worth every penny!

				After a last minute cancellation by another operator, Gary was able to fit us in.  There were only 6 passengers on a boat built for 14, so we had plenty of space.



Gary found us sea otters, sea lions, gray whales and humpbacks.  He was extremely knowledgeable about the area and very patient, allowing us to get hundreds of pictures.



We would highly recommend them.

				The old cliche says that you can't please all of the people all of the time, so I was amazed that Captain Gary has maintained a 5 star rating on well over 300 reviews when I was looking to book a tour. Gary was great. He worked to accommodate me as a solo traveler and even called me personally a couple of times when we were arranging a date and time during my stay in Sitka. The boat tour was great. In addition to the beautiful scenery, we saw whales, sea otters, bald eagles, and various other wildlife. The boat was also very comfortable. Gary's lifelong knowledge of the Sitka area made the tour all the more interesting. He even spent a few minutes talking to me afterward and pointed out some additional places I could visit. Highly recommend!

The crew provided complimentary snacks and drinks, slowed down whenever there was wildlife to observe, and shared many interesting facts about the area and the animals. The staff was friendly and knowledgeable, and the entire experience was unforgettable. I would highly recommend this tour to anyone visiting the area!

				Saw gray whales breaching within 20 yards of us. Also saw groups of otters, porpoises, and eagles. Captain Gary was hospitable, did a great job facilitating/explaining the shuttle process to the meeting point. Highly recommend!
