Welcome to Captain Gary's Sitka Adventures!

Best of Sitka Land Tour

(Everything You Want to See)

Hop aboard our passenger van for a fun-filled and scenic tour along Sitka’s 14 miles of road making stops at the most popular attractions and pretty much showing you everything there is to see by road. This tour actually covers our road from end-to-end!

We’ll take you on a beautiful drive along our coastline where you can enjoy breathtaking mountain and ocean views from the comfort and warmth of our van and get postcard-perfect photos on your way to observe the resident bears, eagles, owls and falcons of Fortress of the Bear and Raptor Center.

Here we have guaranteed wildlife sightings, an opportunity to learn all about our Alaskan Coastal Brown Bears (not to be confused with Grizzlies), Black Bears and raptors while supporting the great work these centers do for Alaska’s animals.

We’ll also make a stop at Sitka National Historical “Totem” Park and tour through downtown Sitka for some art, history and culture. You’ll get a chance to stretch your legs on a nature walk among totem poles, meet native artists demonstrating their craft, admire lovely views of picturesque Sitka-by-the-Sea and learn about Sitka’s interesting history as the capital of Russian America and home to the Tlingit, Haida and Tsimshian peoples.

We offer this tour two times per day, with a morning and afternoon departure. Either choice gives you enough time to stroll downtown Sitka before or after your tour. Or even better, take our Combo Tour and hop aboard our boat before or after this tour to check out the wild wildlife and beautiful nature of Sitka Sound.

This tour is 2.5hrs with convenient pick-up/drop-off at Old Sitka Dock (Orange Place Marker on Map) and Centennial Building (Red Place Marker on Map). We’ll send details with your confirmation email.

All of our tours are family friendly!
